DataGuard Pro is a cutting-edge security application meticulously crafted to protect corporate data on Android devices issued to employees. It integrates multiple stringent security measures to ensure data integrity and confidentiality in various scenarios, addressing the modern challenges faced by enterprises in safeguarding sensitive information.

Why Does Your Business Need DataGuard Pro?

In the ever-evolving landscape of digital threats, criminals have developed sophisticated tools to extract data from locked Android devices. These malicious actors use advanced techniques such as brute force attacks, exploiting vulnerabilities in outdated software, and employing specialized forensic tools designed to bypass security measures. Even with a locked device, they can access sensitive information, including personal messages, financial data, and confidential business documents. Moreover, bad actor employees pose an internal threat, often using their legitimate access to exfiltrate data.

Corporations and businesses can monitor network activity for breaches but face significant challenges in detecting when devices are taken off the network. Once disconnected, files can be copied or sent to external devices through procedures that do not involve the internet, such as using removable media like USB drives or transferring data via Bluetooth. These covert methods allow data to be exfiltrated without leaving a trace on the network. This dual-threat environment—external hackers and internal saboteurs—makes it imperative to have robust security measures in place.

DataGuard Pro is designed to combat these threats by providing comprehensive protection for your device. Our advanced security protocols ensure that your data remains secure, preventing unauthorized access and safeguarding against both external and internal threats.

With DataGuard Pro, you can rest assured that your sensitive information is protected from the ever-present dangers of the digital world.

Features

Automatic device formatting if the incorrect password is entered more than once, if the password screen is cancelled, or if a password is not entered within 20 seconds.

Compatibility with Android 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15.

Detection of 40 of the top forensic extraction software tools, including Cellebrite UFED, XRY by MSAB, Oxygen Forensic Suite, Paraben E3, Magnet AXIOM, BlackBag, BlackLight, Autopsy, AccessData FTK, EnCase by OpenText, and many more.

How It Works

DataGuard Pro implements advanced security protocols that activate under several conditions to ensure your device's protection. These conditions include the establishment of a USB connection, initiation of a Bluetooth connection, insertion or removal of an SD card, or connection by forensic extraction software. Furthermore, if the device is switched to airplane mode in an attempt to disconnect it from the network, the security features are immediately triggered. With DataGuard Pro, your device is safeguarded against unauthorized access and data breaches at all times.

In these instances, a password prompt will be displayed. If the correct password is not entered, the device will be formatted to prevent unauthorized access.

DataGuard Pro also monitors for forensic extraction tools. It identifies connected extraction software by checking the Vendor ID. If a match is found, the device will format instantly.

An administrator-set password ensures that only authorized personnel can change settings or access certain features, preventing employees from altering security configurations.

If the user attempts to deactivate DataGuard Pro, the device will format. This setting can be turned on and off by an administrator.

Every time an unauthorized connection is established, an email is sent to the administrator.

Password Prompt and Notification Sound

DataGuard Pro initiates as soon as your phone starts, playing a confirmation sound upon reboot to signal activation.

The password prompt for DataGuard Pro will appear upon detection of a data USB device, USB-C cable, SD card removal or insertion, on Bluetooth activation, and when airplane mode is enabled.

The DataGuard Pro password must be entered correctly to avoid automatic device formatting.

Note: Simply charging the device will not trigger these actions.

Security Aspects of Factory Reset

A factory reset deletes all user data from the device, including apps, app data, system settings, and files stored on internal storage.

Modern Android versions, including Android 10 to 15 use encryption by default. Performing a factory reset destroys the encryption keys used to access the data, making the data inaccessible without these keys.

What’s Left on Your Phone After DataGuard Pro Formats It?

After a factory reset, data on the internal storage is generally considered irrecoverable due to the destruction of encryption keys. Specialized forensic tools may still attempt to recover fragmented data, but the success rate is significantly low.
